Architect and Feng Shui consultant Howard Choy and his wife Gyda Anders, an architect, opened their office arqitektur in Weißensee in 2002. In this interview, Howard Choy explains his understanding of Feng Shui and his attachment to Weißensee.
On 12 December it is that time again: We will invite actors from the Sino-Foreign CITYMAKERS-community in Berlin and beyond to connect to each other by sharing their best practices, projects cases, stories or some joint noodle making, as a prior community activity before the Salon Talks start.
This CITYMAKERS-Salon’s overall topic will be “alternative perspectives, new usages and potential of urban spaces”. We will explore the topic from three rather unusual perspectives: China scholar and researcher Maja Linnemann will share her visual results and insights from a personal research project on cemeteries in China: Is there any space for the dead in Chinese cities? Architect and Fengshui-Expert Howard Choy will explore the question: What is Berlin’s secret potential looking through a lens of Feng Shui? And as third perspective we have invited Hans Boës, member of the collective Prinzessinnengarten – Berlin’s premier urban gardening show case, that had to leave its location at Moritzplatz in downtown Berlin and moved to its new location, a Cemetery in Neukölln – will talk about “Urban Gardening – from Parasite to Symbiont”.
