“Crossboundaries Kids” – the project case CROSSOUNDARIES brought to the CITYMAKERS-Accelerator is based on the concept of design thinking. We would like to share the skill of design thinking to the next generation. Our vision now is that design is not only an industry but also a way of thinking. We believe it has been underestimated and undervalued. We think the skill of design thinking is one creative tool kit to get us on track to survive in the 21st century. Perfectly, the traditional architectural training provides such a methodology.

In 2005, DONG Hao co-founded Crossboundaries and he is now the Managing Director of its Beijing office. In this interview he reflects on how architects/designers are shapers that inspire people and how important it is to create a whole organism with a relationship to individuals and society.
